MY PHILOSOPHY...
SHOWTIME is a network of edgy, defined, involved characters that have gained a substantial reputation within the series. These characters are our “knights in shining armor.” They are dark, suspected terrorists that overcome their gloom with romance. They are sophisticated drug dealers. They are terminal cancer patients that bring a little EDGE to their lives, refusing to succumb to their illnesses. They are serial killers. They are apart of dysfunctional families. They are FLAWED and DARK yet very exposed to the viewer. My direction was to SLICE or FRAGMENT our heroes to expose their true selves. Reveal their inner Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde without forgetting to keep it classy.
ANIMATION...
The characters will essentially break apart, exposing one dark side of their personality to a new, lighter, everyday self. This shattering would be ignited by a light source for each character.
