Semester portfolio 

                                Composition:

This photo represents visual tangent because of the lens flaire that runs across the tree that creates a good balanced line.

This photo is great example of figure ground, because of the car being connected to the pavement by the wheels and the shadows.

This photo represents scale, the branch is much closer then the others making it look larger than the trees behind it.

This photo is an example of focal point, the clock and her face draws the most attention while the background in blurred out, making her the main point.

This photo represents depth of field, the flowers closer to the camera are more blurred than the ones farther away among a longer depth of field. 

                                      Storytelling 

This photo is good example of story telling because of the positioning and angle. It causes a sort of sad and violent story.

This photo also tells a story because of the facial expressions and positioning, the way the angle of the shoulder makes its more dramatic.

This photo also shows story telling because of the expression and the way the camera is head on. 

GAlso story telling beausae of the way she is laughing making you think something is funny, the way she is tilted and angled diagonally.

This also tells a story because of the way the sword is posting and the way the paint is splattered around.

                                             Editing 

This photo was edited to so it would be darker and give off a little more sad vibes. I was going for this because it was rainy day and the city was just the best background for a gloomy rain glass photo 

I edited the photo once again to be darker, without the editing the red paint was way to bright so I took down the saturation while the exposure. I also sharpened the photo to make the fur pop out rather then blend together.

This photo was taken the same day as the first, the place I was sitting at had the neon sign which reflected onto the window. So I turned down the exposure and turned of the saturation slightly to make the wet dark colored pop along with the pink sign.

Also edited to be darker, this time I made the temperature a little warmer so all othe photos from the shoot weren’t so cold. Doing so made the photo much darker so the brightness is up a little but the exposure is lowered. 

This one I turned down the highlights on some areas where it was too over powering when I turned it black and white.
