Welcome to Paradise
Objective:
Use typography, imagery and layout to express a piece of music. In this musical poster, I need to gather ideas, emotions and visuals that would be associated with the song.
Approach:
I chose Green Day’s song—Welcome to Paradise because I related to the song’s background. The song is based on the band’s experience moving out of their parents’ houses and into an abandoned house where the band members lived without paying rent, but It became home. This sentiment is described in the song. I also had the same situation. I chose two different typefaces to represent conflicting sentiments.
