The Discovery Vitality Open Perspex Diamond.
I was briefed to come up with a diamond-shaped box for our client, Vitality. After some searching, I realised that no suitable die-line existed for what we needed to create. I then proceeded to design my own die-line from scratch. I created a few small mock-ups to present to client, which they loved. Client then requested that I create a large version of the diamond box to hold several small diamond boxes. I then came up with the idea of making a large clear perspex diamond as the holding box.
But soon another challenge presented itself; no local supplier could create the perspex diamond within the limited time-frame. So, I decided to create it myself. I received pre-cut perspex panels (cut according to my die-line) from the perspex supplier and I then proceeded to glue them together. The end result was highly successful.
