KINGBAY'S THE RIVIERA VILLAS EVENT
The Riviera Villas is a project developed by TLM Corp. It's a part of the King Bay project, located near the river in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai.
The visual concept for the event was to build a tone which resembles the feeling of art, high class lifestyle and, within the end, lead to an ending with the Alexandria Light Tower - a wonder of the ancient time.
I approach the concept by taking some sculptures with volumetric lighting and camera movement within the Pantheon, then lead to the Light Tower.
Early lookdev
Later in the project, I came up with some lookdev that fills heavily with old brushed metal materials and bokeh-heavy depth of field.
As deadline draws in, time for lookdev is over, I decided to position all the sculptures into one frame composition and try some options with materials and lighting setups. And then, choose the one that fit the concept the most and continue on with it.
Final version
After some iterations, the client and the directors decided to go with the look of dark environment and volumetric lighting asides, with materials being a mix of concrete-ish/ceramic-ish but aged with texture details. In the end, I thought the idea of making the inner parts of the sculptures golden would be cool so...
Have some regret with this project is that, I can't add some particles goodness to the design to make the environment more lively and natural.
