the portraits are a personal way of reflecting how self doubt clouds your vision
these images are made out of many small squares, printed and cut up by hand, then pasted onto card to create the effect that the photograph is pixelated
the pictures below are the vintage photographs I used to create the images
the man is of a dead, distant relative, while the woman on the left is my elderly neighbor when she was 16 and on the right is my aunt when she was in her early 20's
by taking equal sections from these photographs, cutting them out then piecing them together, I made the photograph physically pixelated
