The project presented is a conept re-branding of a Ukrainian Literary Prize "Премія Імені Василя Стуса". This project began as a two day workshop, after which a few designs were chosen and expaned into a brand. This was one of the chosen projects. The aim of the workshop was to design a fresh, new logo, and biuld a brand around it.

RESEARCH
Everything began with biulding a concept and forming ides. The logo was based on old ukrainan fonts and thus was designed as a simplified version of a traditional aproch to lettering, as you may see in the example above.
This poet was a representative of such a direction in art as modernism, which at that time was also dominant in the visual art.
Identity shapes and colors were taken based on this direct connection.
NEW LOGOTHYPE
The logo has a relationship of forms and counterforms. The letter "У" is taken from the old Ukrainian abetka and transformed.
To solve this task, a font called "Helvetica" was taken.
