LAST BIRTHDAY
Stories about lives of farm animals; acrylic paintings on paper; A4
Luna
Luna was a dairy cow, one of many bred into existence to serve human wants. Her sixth birthday was her last, even though she hoped one day she will be free and live to be at least twenty years old. She had a normal life; was forcefully impregnated by human using artificial insemination, violated and exploited for her reproductive system, was pregnant for nine months and had her babies taken away from her so humans could drink her milk, mechanically milked for a year, her utter was swollen and infected; this cycle was repeated until she was too weak to produce milk like before and was sent to slaughterhouse to be killed for meat. She never understood why humans wanted to drink breast milk from other species, and why it was her species and not from some other mammal. Every night she wished humans stopped exploiting them for profit and would imagine to be free in the field; on the night of her sixth birthday - she was finally there.
Chuck
Chuck was a smart little chick, who was killed on the same day he was born. Him and his friends where ground up alive, like all the male chicks that are not valuable to the egg industry.
Dewie
Dewie was born on a factory farm, together with his 9 siblings. Few days after, human took him, cut off his tail, ends of his teeth and teared out his testicles, without any anesthetics. When he was not even a month old, humans took him away from his mother, and placed him into another building, where he was stuck with a lot of other piglets. There was urine and feces everywhere. He hated the smell. Then humans gave him some shot, and he started to gain more muscle. When he turned six months, he and the others where taken to a truck, and from the truck to another building. They didn't want to go, but humans kept stabbing them with electric prods as they tried to turn around. For his half birthday, Dewie was gassed in a chamber and later killed with knife across the throat.
