One-day project:
After filling in a questionnaire about ourselves, we were asked to pay attention to the question ‘what could you talk about for five minutes?’ My answer was ‘how nature benefits our wellbeing’.

Brief: ‘How might we communicate the impact of the confines of concrete in the context of our distance from nature for those situated within four walls?’

From here, I chose to visually represent the endless narrative that we find ourselves stuck in, trying to escape but never truly able to. The visual is also reminiscent of a phone, conveying how our relationship with technology distances us further. Through zooming out and replicating using the photocopier again and again, we witness a repetitive, downwards fall into a distanced and almost indistinguishable product of nature. Continuing this, the manipulated, wavy versions emulate attempts to escape, but the lines and confines remain.
