For a long time I've been coming to the Dutch delta. The coast, nature, it's beauty and peacefulness draw me.
Several years ago, when I was in the midst of very turbulent period of my life, it al started. I found refuge at these coasts. Rest, tranquillity, solitude, but also sheer beauty. Photographing it was a large part of the process, and worked therapeutic. It cleared my mind, helped me to put my life into perspective, and get over some major challenges.
With "Delta" I am giving context to all the work I've made the last years. Since this year my life has changed lot, and I moved over to shores of the delta. Since I now live here as well, this body of work will very likely grow over time.
One day I hope it may inspire others, but at its core it is part of who I came to be. It is therefore a piece of very personal work.
For me it's work that matters.
