The Quiet Kennel
Ford vehicles are packed with innovative technologies. All of them are designed to make journeys safer, more comfortable, exhilarating, entertaining, and fun – and they can make life easier, too.
If clever features, systems and technologies were so useful in a car, we wondered how else (and where else) they could be of benefit. So, we set-up a series to explore these opportunities, and we called it ‘Interventions’.
In-car Active Noise Control technology is pretty self-explanatory, it actively monitors and helps to reduce noise inside the cabin. But how do you bring that into the everyday? And who, or what, would benefit from it most?
In the lead up to 2018’s New Year celebrations, we found our answer.
We partnered with Espadaysantacruz Studio – an award-winning design studio in Madrid – to create a bespoke product that integrated Ford’s technology into an iconic design. With a timely launch just before New Year’s Eve, the Quiet Kennel was a great opening act for the series.
Earned media global reach was estimated at 486M, with over half a million video views. While paid social landed in feeds just before New Year’s Eve and received 9.5M views with an engagement rate of 34%.
One thing's for sure; defending man’s best friend from the blights of fireworks transcends borders with the press stories running from Brasilia to Budapest, Michigan to Manila, New Zealand to New York.
