Singular Illustrations
Created as a cover illustration for the short story "The Hunter and The Bear", this piece composes the protagonist approaching the Siberian cabin setting, with the bear character woven quietly into the environment. The illustration uses a geographically accurate cabin and surrounding environment. The pattern in the sky is reminiscent of Siberian textile patterns.
Created for a concept art assignment, this piece imagines a Tolkien-esque high fantasy world several centuries in the future, in what we would consider the 1950s. By this point, the world has evolved drastically and landscapes have changed to reflect the passing of time. What was once a sacred elven tomb is now a national park for curious tourists to explore.
This illustration was created specifically for use with mobile devices, requiring a low level of detail in the top and bottom, and requiring the bulk of the visual interest to be carried by the center of the image without appearing too crowded. The image is a vignette, showing a pilot loading a small propeller plane in anticipation for flight.
Collections
These three are spot illustrations for an article talking about toxic people and how to identify them. These characters exhibit the tendencies of Narcissists, Victims, and Gossips accordingly, through clothing, posture, and emotes expressed through thought balloons.
These two images were created for a zine about artistic identity. One of the core unifying elements in the zine was color palette, pieces were restricted to a small palette of 5 analogous cool colors. The two images show two approaches to northern European architecture, using building elements such as balconies and beam supports to create unity between them.
