Experimental Type
These designs I have created represent new letterforms I achieved with different materials. I chose to write full words that both represented the material I was using and to show what different letters would look like in my new created font.
My first letterform has been created by using kitchen glasses and the photo taken from a birds eye view. I took my images into Photoshop to merge them together and I also have a further edited version which enhances the lettering.
The second letterform has been made from makeup, specifically liquid foundation. Again with this one I put my image into Photoshop and deleted the background to make it clear and crisp. I then experimented with the black and white (Hue and Saturation), which I think came out really well and effective.
The third and final letterform, I managed to convince my flatmates to use themselves to create the letters to form the word people. I really like my final edit with the silhouette style as it really makes the letters pop.
