First group project in college. We were required to take apart a hand-held product to understand its internal mechanisms, displaying our progress and findings, along with a parts and competitor analysis.
We took it a step further by creating graphic artwork to explain the movement of each part (luckily, we had very few parts to deal with), and in the end created a dynamic stand to display the exploded product.
The first step was de-constructing the RTX-1 and finding out all it's component parts.
As we removed each part, we made a catalogue of its material., manufacturer, colour, and other information that we deemed to be useful.
Artwork was created to demonstrate the motion and function of each of the components within the RTX-1.
We aimed to have precise models of the internal components of our dremel tool. This was the final result of our surgery...
