Illustrations from the 2018 Mab's Drawlloween Club Instagram art challenge. Each day in the month of October participants draw an image inspired by that day's prompt, similar to Inktober, Drawlloween, and other monthly art challenges. While any medium can be utilized, I wanted to attempt to create a series of character based drawings using hard lines and only three colors: black, orange, and cream. This forced me to really play with my light sources, shadows, highlights, and overall problem solving skills as I attempted to figure out the best solution for each prompt with a limited palette.
