Ironman in "Ralph Breaks the Internet" was originally planned as a background character.  I ended up adding some interesting displacements that gave the illusion of modeled detail.  Used some Photoshop techniques for the textures.  In order to get smooth machined detail that's difficult to sculpt organically.
