As China continues to the urbanize, what will happen to its rural areas? What the the future of the Chinese village? In this research project, we (Rural Urban Framework) explored the potential future scenarios of Chinese villages, using Shi Chuang village in rural Guangdong as an case study. 

We looked into government policies on village land use and ownership and on agriculture. We interviewed local villagers on their view of how the village has transformed, and how they see themselves in the future.
