Living in the Garden
The concept for the architecture of this extension is a transition from solid, full height, masonary walls with small punched windows on the north facing, public elevation gradually transforming to a low, window seat high plinth and highly glazed, framed structure on the private, south facing elevation.  The lightness of the transparent garden elevation is achieved by extending the roof plane out, supported on external columns.
