Duties: To transform 2 retail units into a sales gallery cum experience center.
Located in Beijing SOHO, China. Building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Where a sales gallery for a resort cum residential development in Sanya, China is being developed. There are two separate retail units, a small triangular unit at the far end of the mall that will serve as the starting point of the user journey and a secondary, longer and narrow unit that serves as the main gallery.
Inspired by the cross section of an Amethyst stone, the users are set out to experience the space as a micro being., Experiencing the facets of the walls as the gems in the stone. Lid up by screens where they display each area and facilities of the resort residential development. With the lack of wall surfaces, the facets were the solution, creating additional wall surfaces and zone zoning that combats the site constrains. The development's zones were sub-divided and zoned by precious stones and gems. The amethyst concept were the starting point tot their development's branding and program planning.
