Saleor is an open source e-commerce platform for perfectionists. In early 2018 we made a major technology decision to enhance Saleor with a GraphQL API. The change was significant enough for us to rebrand Saleor to be in line with the business-oriented designs of our main competitors. Our aim was to celebrate our own brand's history and independent style, while keeping up with modern visual trends.
The whole rebranding process was a time and resource challenge but a great opportunity to work for the brand we love. We also wanted to tie together the aspects of design, e-commerce, and software in a fluid way. You can read the full story here.

What's next? Well, it's already begun. While we are still refining and developing the design of Saleor 2.0, the major announcement that we are building a SaaS version of the platform, named Saleor Cloud, means that we are already currently designing Saleor 3.0. New challenges, new ideas, new technology: we're looking forward to sharing the results.
