War and Peace were published in The Russian Messenger in the 17th century. This tribute refers to a re-appropriation of this medium that communicates with two generations: the fictional version of Tolstoy's 17th century is linked to visuals of the miniseries adapted from the novel, which was released and directed in 2016 by Tom Harper. This approach gives a timeless image to this historical novel, while keeping the various twists and confrontations that we find throughout history.
