The conference Why the World Needs Anthropologists: Designing the Future is a response to the momentum of today’s world when world needs more engaged anthropologists to spark the ideas and bring out informed and well thought research-based solutions considering their context and socio-cultural background. The 6th WWNA’s conference, signicantly named “Designing the Future”, will focus on the emerging eld of Design Anthropology and opportunities raised from it. In particular focused on the importance of collaborative interdisciplinary approach for both disciplines, design and anthropology will be discussed in applied projects.
The aim of the conference is to communicate the importance of applied (design) anthropology and humanities to the wide audience inside and outside of academia and promote discussion and debate within the participants in different moments of the event.
It will bring together specialists from both areas, scholars and both, public and private sector. The conference will be held during two full days 26th and 27th October 2018 and is expecting to receive 400 participants from different disciplines around the world. Composition of the conference is focused on engaged and interactive dialogs created between speakers and participants through the formal and informal part of the program.
