angel of Decay is a narration on the life of one of the most notorious serial killers the world has ever seen. With an alleged victim count of more than 30 women (including rape and murder of a 12 y/o), across seven states in the USA between 1974 - 1978, Bundy was executed on January 24,1989 on an electric chair.
the zine follows a backward narrative -- starting with his execution - details of his murders - to his birth and family background.
The idea is to make the reader sympathise with a serial killer by having a peek into his traumatic childhood towards the end. A story that does not excuse his behaviour but certainly played a role in making him what he became.
the design makes use of typography as a visual tool instead of actual images to create a sense of chaos that correlates with the story.
details of murders - stockings with holes cut out in them were one of the key elements found in Ted Bundy's possession.
