This work sheds light on my investigation into masculinity through the medium of professional wrestling and blurring the lines between abstraction and figuration. When is the imitation of violence enough to satisfy our need for violence? Why do these men masquerade the ability to inflict violence? How does the energy of this sport affect the way we perceive the male image?
