The Changeling Prince | illustrated book ( BA Honours 2018)
'The Changeling Prince' was my practical for my BA Honours degree in 2018. My practice was a response to my research paper, which interrogated the faerie tale as a coming of age story for a non-child audience. Within both the hero's journey in the Faerie tale, and the rite of passage for coming of age- it is essential that the individual must enter the 'other world/space', as this is the environment which facilitates the transformation into herodom or adulthood. This project consists of an illustrated book, an accompanying field guide, a series of illustrated tokens, animated loops and props constructed for the exhibition space.
