For this project, I chose a speech titled, 'Be not troubled' and designed the text into a booklet. The end goal was to give this booklet to a close friend. 

I knew my target audience member very well and made many design choices in terms of typeface and color palette based off of this knowledge. I feel like these colors are calming, educational, and intriguing. My type choice and layout shows visual hierarchy well, making the text easy to read.

I did not simply want to put text in one column all the way across each spread. This is very typical and would quickly lose the interest of my reader. Instead, using a grid allowed me to design something interesting while still being consistent. I went through many drafts to get here, but overall, I think that the design is engaging and inspiring.
