Case Study: Museum Exhibition.
The project was to create a design campaign for the Godwin-Ternbach Museum’s exhibition, “From the desert to the city”, that would bring attention to a specific demographic group to this exhibition. I decided to concentrate on college Design students.
I was influenced by Gail Rothschild’s artwork, an artist that created paintings inspired by the ancient textiles of this exhibition, magnifying the many details of these textiles. Inspired from her work, and after some constructive criticism I created a textile-like pattern which I used to create the text for the title of my poster, then deconstructed said title to create a GIF for the museum’s social media accounts and finally in the catalogue the pattern was used as ornamentation, also my color palette (which I later had to simplify) came from her work.
