For this project I was assigned to photograph an object and use the symbolism within the object to create a book cover for a classic book or play. I chose matches and fire to illustrate Romeo and Juliet.

The matches in the foreground are symbolic of the star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. They fall in love and die young and quickly, similar to matches. The matches in the background represent their separate families. I used fire to symbolize the volatility and ferocity of the families.
