Our aim is to extract meaning from a communication in one form/media.format, and re-configuring that message into a different context and for a different audience. We are creating a conceptual re-creation of a TV series The Handmaid’s Tale.

A formative stage of this “re-conceptualization” if of paramount importance to becoming a creative graphic designer. This process encourages personal direction that one needs to be willing to explore if one is to work at or “on the edge”. Part of this process includes the courage to reassure communication, as a means to dare something new. From this destruction, we then need to build pragmatic applications of the syntactic and semantic identity of the piece; that is, how does it relate to other elements and ideas present in cultural influence, societal perception and the zeitgeist or paradigm from which the pieces subtends.
