Epure Design

Developing Épure Design’s branding to help them move forward with a new and refreshed company identity.

Challenge

When Épure Design, an established Architecture practice needed to update their company identity – they reached out to me, a local Bristol Designer. They felt that their existing identity lacked originality and presence and so failed to differentiate them from other similarly named companies. The team felt that the previous identity was discouraging their audiences and their online presence no longer provided the platform they needed to market themselves effectively – it didn’t reflect the consistent quality and variety of work produced by the team.

Action

I proposed an overhaul of their existing identity, website and marketing collateral. To ensure this was as smooth a transition as possible, I worked to a 3-month timescale that would allow for Épure Design to roll out the brand in stages. This ensured that there was no detrimental effect to the execution of the new brand and allowed their existing customer base to adjust. Working with the team at each stage of exploration helped to quickly establish the direction and define the main objectives of the new online experience. I then developed the structure and layout of the new website through a series of sketches and wireframes.

Result

The new iteration of the brand included a completely new identity crafted with a modern, geometric typeface with a strong and bold logo mark. This new mark is a representation of the É from ‘Épure Design’ and has obvious links to building a structure – a nod towards their industry and the services they provide. The company identity now oozes confidence and demands attention. Utilising a refined blue primary colour palette inspires trust and loyalty which are both key pillars in maintaining the company’s success. The new website is super clean, minimalist and completely functional. Alongside this is great photography and clear, concise content that allows potential customers to focus on what’s important. On the back-end; a friendly CMS was provided to allow the team to easily add new work and update content as they wish.
