This is one of our most favorite projects. This is because it was our first time designing an iPhone application. We have designed a variety of different projects, but until 2010 we never had worked on an iphone app design. I guess we handled this pretty well because clients were very pleased and we did some more materials for this project. Those include some adaptations of the design for different versions of the app for other cities like Dublin and Prague. Note that we worked on the design. The app developing was done in-house by the client.
This is the app branding for a cool iPhone application that offers to help you pick the finest pubs, the best future events, the most popular ale and liquor brands ( and even more options that you can check here ).
For this brand identity we worked on designing a logo that would be suitable for use in various online platforms - the app store, facebook, twitter etc. We also worked on the app design itself, the leaflet design as well as a video commercial for the iPhone app.
The logo design
We wanted to combine a pint of beer and a question mark ( obviously ). Nothing too complex, just two symbols we don’t see so often together. The app logo design was created with the idea in mind to be used mainly over orange and black backgrounds, but it proved to be well looking on various backgrounds. Also the question mark had to be with very good proportions so that it can fit different screens and resolutions. Here are some different uses of it :

The flyer design
This is our leaflet design for the promotional flyer. The concept was to make the flyer look like you are holding a real iphone in your hands so we took the iphone dimensions to design the die line.
It is full color print on 300 g matt paper. The flyer was distributed in 2010 in London.
This was the initial concept for the flyer design with far more complicated die-cut. The ON button was meant to allow you to open and actually look inside. Due to short production deadlines and higher production pricing we did the other version.
The commercial movie was intentionally made a little bit slow (not so dynamic), so that the viewers can have enough time to read about the features of the app. The original video is produced in Full HD quality.
Terms for producing such a video vary, but it usually takes between 1 and 2 months. Price depends on the complexity of the project.
The other apps
After we finished the London Find the Pub project, we were given the chance to work on the design adaptation of the iPhone for two more cities - Dublin and Prague. You can see the adapted logos and app designs below:
