Harry Potter Book Cover

The Challenge
Redesign Harry Potter Book in a unique way.
Since this book was published in 1997 by the time I redesigned this it was 2018, so most cover ideas have already been designed. For Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, I wanted to design something different from the cliche: Hogwarts Castle, showing harry potter and etc. I still wanted to stay true to the story, so I pushed myself to find images that represent the story.
I found a section of the novel where Harry reads the list of items needed for Hogwarts. I chose 4 items: pointed hat, black robe, the study books, and an owl. I found these items important because they are items Harry is expose to while learning about being a wizard and about Hogwarts. I made sure to keep the iconic lightening bolt scar in the background and on the back of the book. I decided to make the book Gryffindor colors to represent the house Harry was sorted into.
Below is the original book cover from 1997 for you to compare. If you would like learn more about J. K. Rowling, go to JKRowling.com
