LOFOTEN ISLANDS - I visited Lofoten for the first time three years ago as part of a birthday present for my 30th birthday. I've always liked to photograph the landscape, but after visiting Lofoten, I lost myself.
Lofoten greeted me with an atmosphere from the film of bitter.
Later on was much better :)
During a stop at a thriving fishing center, Henningsvaer, I noticed fishermen working on cod landings. Every year, Atlantic cods gather here for spawning, and the period of the largest catch runs from January to April. A significant part of them is used to produce the so-called "Stockfish", or dried fish. An interesting fact is that fish heads are also subjected to a drying process, and a large part of them is sent for export to Nigeria, where it is used to prepare a traditional African soup :)
The most surprising was the multitude of great vertical frames
Landscape photography is not a fairy tale. You have to face, among others, lying on the ice
The mandatory point was to capture the Northern Lights, which unfortunately did not shine until the last day before departure. I'll get her! :)
