Franklin Gothic - This project was for an advance typography class. The typeface was chosen at random, and the inspiration behind the Franklin Gothic Specimen Sheet was the playing cards. But specifically the King and Queen playing Cards. After creating the specimen sheet, we had to make a digital version of the specimen sheet as well as create our own typeface. Therefore, the font for Morris Fuller Benton was also inspired from the playing card and monarchy idea.
