NEW MEN
This was the first logo i made in my school! It was in Design 1.
I got to create my own brand and design a logo for it. In most of places in the world, people think men should not use beauty products because they would look very girly. I want to break that social norm and attract more men to use beauty products. Thus, I chose cosmetology for men and named my brand as "New Men".
- New Men produced products that were made from 100% organic natural ingredients for heath and safety.
- First start was product for skin. In the future, New Men will have more other products for hairs and other services.
- Targets were male consumers, age from 20 to 45 years old, mostly lived in cities, and had income from 30k and up.
I wanted my consumers to think if they use my products, they are modern, healthy, menly, attractive, and handsome.
Through so much researching, I chose Adonis concept. Adonis was a very handsome man in Greek mythology. He was born from a tree. This was a very good point because it presented for very nature, which was my pro compare to other competitors. From that concept, I designed my logo as images below.
- In the logo is a man. I designed his hair as undercut hairstyle, because it presented modernness and manly of the 21st century men. I also designed his shoulder in a leaf shape. This stood for nature. Around the shoulder were small leaves and a medal, these were to remind of ancient Greek clothes.
- For the name, I used Felix Titling typeface because it gave me a sense of strength, modern, but still has something organic.
- For logo's color, I chose a turquoise color, because it presented for nature.
