Pussy Riot: The Prosecution of a Punk Prayer

A typographic exploration of Pussy Riot's arrest in 2012. They were charged with "Hooliganism motivated by religious hatred' for performing a 50 second long punk prayer in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The project is driven by a punk bible aesthetic which mashes Russian constructivist and biblical styled typefaces. The bright colour's reflect the band's aesthetic and flip book elements have been used to express Pussy Riot and Russian president Vladimir Putin and opposing sides.
