Street Sketching

The Las Vegas area ‘Urban Sketchers’ meet monthly to visit various environs in the Vegas area. This months outing was held on Saturday December 8 (2018) at the Lyft Art Park at the intersection of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard. 

 

It was my first time to the location and the Fremont Street area, in old downtown Las Vegas. Driving to the park i was overwhelmed by the visual explosion around me. So many things, trinkets, do-dads on a scale i had never experienced before made me think that this was a sensory climax. 

 

I walked up Freemont street and this building caught my eye. After walking about for a while i returned to this storefront. Something about it appealed to me more than the giant polar bear, or anything else in the immediate vicinity

 

 

Just outside of Las Vegas is the town of Boulder.
