Los Angeles Department of Transportation Street Program

About
The Los Angeles Department of Transportation’s (LADOT) Active Transportation and Vision Zero divisions are responsible for program and project development on initiatives related to people walking and bicycling, and the associated community outreach, evaluation, and communications of project and program information. Vision Zero is the most recognized of LADOT’s safety programs, aimed at reducing traffic deaths to zero though better road engineering, enforcement and education. Other programs include: Safe Routes to School, People Street, Active Streets, Great Streets, Open Streets, and the Bike Program. The programs’ goals are to help everyone, not just drivers, be safe and have fun using the streets we all share.

Most of these programs maintained individual and disjointed websites that lack needed functionality and brand consistency. LADOT Active Transportation division partnered with The Glue to rethink their web strategy and build a unified presence online which would provide an easy and fun way for residents to learn about these programs and interact with them.
