iPhone X Mini concept was born out of the desires to step back and reframe the idea of ever growing size of the smartphone screens. I was inspired by a kid pulling out a PLUS size phone trying to answer a phone call from her mom, and an elderly that struggling to reach the top of the screen in their weakened grip.There could be a good reasoning to have stripped down, small, not too powerful, humble price tag that can serve a specific market: call, text, few apps, find my friends, emergency trigger, accessibility features and link to parental(guardian) app (Related Behance project about app controlling family’s screen time.) It could also serve as a temporary phone while repairs are happening for your regular phone. But mostly, my personal appeal is the size. At this size and shape, your thumb could reach all corners. It would be light and could fit into any pocket unlike the new line-up out from Apple.
