Pattachitra is the traditional style of painting of Odisha, India. Being an Oriya, while growing up, I was surrounded by these paintings and was fascinated by the stories depicted in them. 

I got a chance to work with seasoned artisans and as part of the workshop i had to create new designs that could be incorporated in the style of Pattachitra. All my hand illustrations since then are inspired from that experience.
