Exercise #1
This exercise is on 11" x14" bristol but the dimensions of the dimensions of the design is 6" x 8". We were to use 30-40 shapes, overlapping, different sizes, and variations in value.
Exercise #2
This exercise is on a 11" x 14"bristol and the dimensions of the design is 5"x 7". We had to create an asymmetric composition that is nonobjective using varieties of lines.
Exercise #3
This exercise we had to create two design, one is asymmetric and the other symmetric. We were only able to use one letter from the English alphabet for each design.
Exercise #4
This exercise we had to use our initials and one geometric shape. We were able to use black, white, and one gray value. Between the two designs they had to be noticeable different.
Project #1
This project is a value scale with one hue. On one end there is black were as the other side is white and the other nine will be the range of the hue from black to white, shades and tints.
Project # 2
This project required project #1 to create the illusion of depth. We had to arranging the shapes that we had used from largest to smallest, and going from light to dark.
Project #3
With is project we had to create an original design that took the illusion of looking in to the distance but still having a clear focal point. We had to use a complementary and analogous palette.
