Emoji's of Palmares
The goal of this project was to make an icon set that expresses ideas important to a defined subgroup of our choice. For my sub grouping I choose Quilombo dos Palmares (War camp of Palmares) one of the historical encampments of escaped enslaved Africans in colonial Brazil. In these encampments Africans would push to reestablish their culture and way of life while defending there right to self-determination. This icon set is focused around some of the leaders and iconic warriors in the history of Palmares: Ganga Zumba, Dandara, and Zumbi Dos Palmares and their personalities. Thank you!
