Andorinha is the Portuguese word for swallow, a bird that every year travels long distances in search of a better climate during winter, but always returns to the same place to build its nest in spring.

The swallow is an important symbol for the traveller soul of Portuguese, who have a strong connection to their roots and always find their way back home.

I’ve created this logo for a blogger friend who, like me, was an expat living in Amsterdam that loves to travel around the world.

The logo background represents the world where the swallow travels around, exploring every corner, to always return home.

The handwritten typography alludes to the nature of the brand, a blog, and travel diaries (diários de viagem).
