Helix is an innovative toothbrush holder that perform also other functions linked to the toothbrush, like to be easily wash out without remove the toothbrushs and in this way You can keep it clean every day from dirty.  

The hygiene is very important with regard to our mouth, brushing our teeth two or three times a day is not the only thing to do, We have to be sure that our toothbrush is clean before We use it putting inside our mouth.

I' ve project It in the way that It can hold both toothbrushes and electric toothbrush heads.

The diagonal cut allows to the water that stay in toothbrushes to flow down.

At the bottom I make it in the way that it was inclined, allowing to the user to easily empty the water without remove the toothbrushes.

The helix allows You to wash it under the water, avoiding in this way that the water stay lock and stagnate.

Being made in a helix shape, It is lighter than the other toothbrush holder and has a new innovative shape.

 Many researchers say that the activities that we do during the morning, like the breakfast, the awakening, the right amount of sleep significantly influence our lifes and mainly the rest of the day because the way we have spent this activities can make ourselves feel good or bad, depending from day to day.

  

An activities like brushing our teeth could seem stupid or meaningless, but thinking to the fact that if We spent it in a good way, without any troubles We have more possibilities to spent the rest of our morning good.

Instead of if We have to spend our morning' s time to resolve this troubles created We will have surely less time for ourselves and less time to do the other activities.    

In this way Helix' s purpose is improve our life, also if in a little way, but anyway We are always speaking about improving life.

Sometimes the small gesture can helps more than what We think

PET and ABS are two kind of plastic polymers with different features.  

PET is the material used to produce bottle, indeed It is used in foods product thanks to his compatibility with foods. Speaking about products that are in contact with our mouth, this material would be a good choice for this toothbrush holder.  

ABS is the material used to produce Lego bricks, mainly thanks for his strength and hardness. Using this material for Helix, We will have an object tha last longer about the rigidity of the material.

- Developping a product that has to interact with other existing product means pay more attention to the measure in the way that, in this case, the toothbrushes can fit in the toothbrush holder, creating something new that doesn' t exist yet.

- Interacting with human being You have to create easy shape and understandable otherwise the product became difficult and the people tend to stray from him, not using it anymore.

- My project started with the purpose to resolve the problem of the water lock that created dirty in the tootbrushes, so I realized different shapes of the toothbrush holder that allow to the water to slide down. Then I discover new problems linked to the toothbrushes and the toothbrush holder that I wanted to solve with the same product, a sort of personal challenge. 
So I started to try new shapes and at the same time ask to my parents what did the thinked about my object, if They thinked that that shapes could solve this problems. Thanks to their councils and the discussions with them on how to improve it I finally arrived to the final shape of the toothbrush holder.

- To be sure of the functioning of this product, the only way was to built it because making a simulation in a certain 3d software wasn' t enought for me. The faster and cheaper way to built it was to 3d print it. 
If I had to be sincere I wasn' t sure of the functioning before the 3d printing; only with the object in my hands I could try it and check the real functioning with the linked objects.

- The technology of printing that I have choosen for my product is really expensive at the beginning, and to recover all the money that I have invested I will have to sell a large number of this product.
