Social media holds a reputation as the ultimate platform for people to communicate, share thoughts, opinions and experiences across the web. Currently, the major social medias in China are Weibo, WeChat, blog, bbs and broadcast platforms, etc. According to Sina Weibo, the average usage of  Weibo in China is 1 hour per person per day. However, social media is also a double-sided sword. It seems like social media gives a chance to everyone to have a voice, but is it truly being heard? Are the things we see on social media trustworthy? Or, it is all decided by the algorithms? I want to discover the hidden truth of social media through these 100 posts I collected.
Another aspect I am considering is that the gap in-between the “dying” media and social media. In order to show this conflict, I chose the design format to be a reference of newspaper. Later on, I installed the publication onto public news stand, juxtaposing with other traditional newspapers in order to cross the boundaries of the traditional and new media.
