APRIL GREIMAN - DESKTOP INTERFACE DESIGN
For this project I designed a mock-up microsite for the Cooper Hewitt Exhibition about an influential figure in the design field. My designer was April Greiman. The microsite had to be viewed on both desktop and mobile. Throughout this project I started by sketching wireframes for the mobile first and then moved to working on desktop.
THE CONCEPT
I was inspired by the New Wave design movement for this website. April Grieman was a pioneer in this moments and she wan't afraid of experimenting with both color and typography. The typeface I choose for this project is a retro typeface that Greiman had used throughout some of her early experimental works. Through researching Greiman's life and accomplishments I was able to create a website that showcased her contributions to the digital revolution as well as how she shaped the world of design.
