Designed by the architect Frank Gehry, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a benchmark for the avant-garde architecture of the 20th century, which, thanks to its innovative design represents an architectural landmark for its interesting configuration, while its exterior becomes a sculptural structure perfectly integrated in the urban space of Bilbao.
Wearing about 33,000 fine titanium plates on its facade (thus obtaining an organic effect that changes tonally according to the atmosphere) combined with limestone and glass, materials used for the rest of the building, whose area of 24,000 m2 surrounded by walks that they travel its perimeter, it has become an icon of the city throughout the world.
