Rijksmuseum: The Beauty of Art in 3D
- Adobe Dimension -
The Rijksmuseum, founded in The Hague in 1808, is a museum like no other. With an extensive history in the arts, a stunning collection of over 1 million objects, and in the 2013 the museum made over 125K high-resolution images from their collection available online for free, and anyone could download these images under a CC 1.0 Universal license.

The Rijksmuseum has partnered with Adobe Stock to do something landmark. Adobe has custom curated a selection of 28 physical objects from the Rijksmuseum collection and transformed these objects into 3D models.

Simplistic nature

Once the collection of 28 objects was finally made, I had the pleasure of working with Adobe over the nature-themed portion of this project, as I was asked to compose a nature/fantasy landscape with Adobe Dimension by using six specific animal and plant 3D models created ad hoc for the scene, sprinkled in additional assets from the Dimension asset panel, blending everything into a dreamlike vision of the natural world.

Top: The final image rendered with Adobe Dimension in hi-quality PNG at 2048px - 2048px. Posto processing of the image was also made in PS.
Bottom: Two cropped details from the original image: The Butterfly and the wood house.

If you are interested into knowing more about this project, you can read the article on the Adobe Blog here
You will also find an alternative version (night time) of the render and all the other amazing artworks made for this project!
