Folklore – TV Series

Ghosts, ghouls, knights, dragons and malevolent witches; they all belong to the illustrious pantheon of European folktales. These ancient stories full of adventure, humor and moral dilemmas are strikingly contemporary, and are filled with colorful characters.

Folktales inspire, align, and together they form the foundation of our collective European identity. After generations of oral tradition, they now demand a modern stage. That is why we proudly present: ‘Folklore – The Series’: European folktales brought to the screen.

‘Folklore – The Series’ consists of ten episodes of 50 minutes live action, produced for television, in which each episode paints one folktale. For each country we produce a folktale that is the most culturally and historically defining.
