Tokyo MidTown

These are advertising posters for DESIGN TOUCH, an event held at Tokyo Midtown. Exhibitors included major Japanese companies and overseas artists. They produced their works with the theme of “future” and asked visitors if their ideas would work (Yes) or not work (No) for the future. We  focused on this “asking visitors to answer, Yes or No” and created visuals that feature a coin flip. That is because coin flipping is used when choosing between two things. The 4th poster depicts the moment when the coin has finally landed on the ground. It represents our hope that visitors will find out if the coin has landed on heads or tails when they see the exhibition.

DESIGN TOUCH is one of the largest art festivals in Japan and . Held at Tokyo Midtown, this annual event attracts nearly two million visitors every year. It targets a wide range of people from students to office workers, not to mention art lovers. This year's theme was IDEA OF THE FUTURE, and the exhibitors were major Japanese companies, such as Mazda and NTT, and overseas artists. They produced their works with the theme of “future” and asked visitors if their ideas would work (Yes) or not work (No) for the future.
